Chiptorials

As a worldwide company, Microchip Technology needed a way for engineers to develop high-quality content regardless of their location. The answer to this challenge is how Chiptorials came to be. The first step was to build a micro studio that could run on PC with Camtasia installed. We needed studio lighting and sound dampening to transform this old office into a proper recording studio. Once we built the studio, we added front-facing and top-down Sony EV Z10 cameras with upgraded prime 24 and 50 mm lenses to ensure that each shot was locked down to ensure consistency between recording sessions. Since Camtasia only allows one external camera, we added a HDMI splitter to allow the user to choose which camera to record with depending on whether the focus was on a product demo or the onscreen talent for that scene.
